About this School

The 'modules' presented here are, for the most part, independent of one another though all serve the same purpose: To help introduce the reader-seeker to the Realities of Human existence as revealed by Spiritual Science. The material shared in this material has been gleaned (primarily) from the Rudolf Steiner Archive and Free Man Creator. Every intention has been made to give proper credit where credit is due. My work has been to dive into the depths of the material and pull from it what I felt are foundational subjects and topics. It is hoped that the reader will thereafter have the courage and will to take a further 'deep dive' on their own.

You will understand the physical world, only if you learn to know the spiritual world. Spiritual science is not meant for cranks, but for the most practical of the practical! Every form of life is spiritual. Even as ice is condensed water, so matter is condensed spirit. Mineral, plant, animal, or man – each is a condensed form of the spirit.

In our time, the spiritual principle had to move into the background; this had to be so that the great conquests of the physical plane would be possible, and perfection could be achieved in controlling the world perceived through the senses. Now the time approaches when humanity needs to go more deeply into the spiritual again. At present human beings are rushing towards a stage on the physical plane that could not be borne if spiritual life did not develop again.

An image of how necessary it is for humanity to deepen their spirituality: You know the tremendous advances made for example in the theory of electricity. A tremendous power lives in these energies, and this means there is a possibility that humanity will abuse them. Humanity will master terrible powers which will be put into effect on the physical plane, and this in the not too far distant future. They will be able, for instance, to cause detonations, explosions by remote control, with no one able to determine the originator. Humanity will have power. Woe, however, if they have not reached a high moral level and use those terrible powers for other than only good purposes! The masters who guide humanity foresaw that this time would come. It is the mission of anthroposophical teaching to prepare hearts and minds for what is coming, to warn them, and to show them the way and the goal.

Method of Study

The subject matter is divided into sections (or in some cases chapters) and sub-sections. Read only as much as you can 'absorb' in one sitting – contemplating and meditating on the material. Follow external links only as you are led, just be aware that 'rabbit-trailing' sometimes allows (further) confusion to creep in. I am not fluent in the greater depths of this knowledge, but am certainly willing to find the answer to your questions. Inevitably we assist one another in this journey of learning.

Though the modules listed below are numbered, it is not necessary to follow the sequence. It is more important to proceed as you are led by what piques your interest in the moment. I will point out, however, that the first two modules follow a sequence enumerated in the Stranger's Prayer above.

The Modules

1. World Evolution – Where We've Come From

   

   This is the most fundamental module. It covers Human Evolutionary history back to the times of Ancient Atlantis with the primary focus on the seven Cultural Ages that came to be after the fall of Atlantis.

   This module builds on the overview of Atlantis presented in the first module. In my humble opinion it is not critical for Knowing Oneself, but serves to answer in a deeper dive where we've come from.

4. Rudolf Steiner's Three-fold Social Organism

   

   After the end of the First World War, the looming question in many minds was just how to fashion a society in which existed the greatest possibility of avoiding another such catastrophe. Rudolf Steiner had, prior to the war's end, worked to develop just such a plan. Though he presented his ideas to those in a position to implement such plans, they fell on deaf ears. Of curious note is how, in the present time (2026 AD), his ideas have resurfaced in the minds of those who are genuinely seeking the same goal.

   This module is an article authored by Stephen E. Usher, Ph.D. My intent is to build upon Usher's article in much the same way I built upon another's (Adriana Koulias) lecture notes in the first module i.e. it is a work in progress.
