When a Rose is not a RosePosted on 07/20/2024  |  By

When you cut a rose to put in a vase, it is no longer a rose but a symbol of the living rose it once was. Yet, not a symbol of the single rose, but that of every rose, past, present and future. The rose serves the purpose of adorning the garden, to bring to it beauty in many forms: Visual and Floral, drawing to it those creatures who carry its wealth back to their home to produce what was once called the elixir of the gods. Once picked, once pruned however, it becomes only a symbol – but a symbol of power if it is paid the respect and awe it deserves.
