<\/p>\nIn the darkness of evil… I lit a candle.<\/p>\n
The candle’s small flame broke into the darkness.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It broke into the darkness, weak though it was.<\/p>\n
With a wick only so thin, wax only so tall.<\/p>\n
It’s time burning, breaking the darkness limited.<\/p>\n
It began tainted with fear.<\/p>\n
Fear of its minority against the enormity it encountered.<\/p>\n
Fear of its limited duration of life.<\/p>\n
But fear juxtaposed with courage and became mute.<\/p>\n
For the flame of evil had been broken.<\/p>\n
The flame of life had broken evil.<\/p>\n
No wind. No water. No soil could then douse the flame.<\/p>\n
Darkness defeated, candle burned low.<\/p>\n
Darkness waited.<\/p>\n
But courage awakened others, other flames not yet borne.<\/p>\n
As the small flame began to wane, as it began to dwindle down;<\/p>\n
Another spark. Another. Another.<\/p>\n
Darkness screamed. Evil devoured.<\/p>\n
It devoured all that it was, for the sheath of darkness had left.<\/p>\n
Facing Light, evil bowed.<\/p>\n
But Light did not destroy. Light did not scorn nor judge.<\/p>\n
Light thanked. It thanked evil.<\/p>\n
For evil had been the fuel to ignite the one small candle.<\/p>\n
Evil brought forth awakening within, its wiles revealed.<\/p>\n
Rising from its humility, evil stepped forward into the Light.<\/p>\n
Forever changed. Forever transformed.<\/p>\n
The small flames grew. They grew. They became the Light.<\/p>\n
One with the Light, free of darkness, free of evil.<\/p>\n
It began. It began with one small candle.<\/p>\n
One small candle that I chose to light.<\/p>\n
And darkness faded away, evil bowed and aquiesced to the Light.<\/p>\n
One small candle, one small flame.<\/p>\n
Set me free.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
